Walter Mika is a passionate artist who has been creating new works every day for the last 15 years. His drawings reflect his interest in cartoons, movies, and popular culture, and his work has been noted for its energetic and primitive use of line, form, and color. Walter Mika's drawings have been featured in articles about Pure Vision Arts in Arts & Antiques magazine and Envision Folk Art magazine. His work is included in many private collections.
Walter was born in 1961 and currently lives in a residence in Ridgewood, New York. He attends The Shield Institute Group Day Habilitation Program in Bayside, New York, and the Pure Vision Arts studio in Manhattan. Walter's work has been included in numerous New York State Exceptional Artworks exhibitions.
